Dr. Ariel Ekblaw
Aurelia Institute CEO & Director of the MIT Space Exploration Initiative
Dr. Ariel Ekblaw directs the MIT Space Exploration Initiative, a team of 50+ students, faculty and staff building and flying advanced technology for space exploration; Ariel is also the founding CEO of Aurelia Institute, a hybrid space architecture research institute and venture incubation studio. Through this connected ecosystem, she strives to bring humanity’s space exploration future to life.
Yasuhito Sekine
Principal Investigator, Professor and Director of the Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) of Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Specializes in planetary science and astrobiology. Interested in whether there is life in the universe and how life on Earth first originated, and constantly researching Mars and its Icy moons, where life may exist in the solar system. Born in Tokyo, Japan.
Joi Ito is the director of the Center for Radical Transformation at the Chiba Institute of Technology, where he has served as a trustee since January 2022. He is the co-founder, board member and chief architect of Digital Garage. Ito is also a co-founder of and a board member of the non-profit, Safecast, a primarily volunteer-run platform that publishes and advocates for open environmental data.
