Eric Salobir

Fr Eric Salobir is a Roman catholic priest and a member of the Order of Preachers (known as Dominicans). He chairs the executive committee of the Human Technology Foundation. He is a member of the Conseil National du Numérique, in France and an expert at the Holy See (Vatican) for media and technologies.
Fr Salobir is also the founder the OPTIC network aimed to promote researches and innovation in the field of digital humanities. As part of the General curia (government) of this religious order, he was in charge media and technology. He has contributed to the reorganization of the Vatican media.
Graduated from the ISC Paris business school, Fr Salobir worked at the French Embassy in Prague (Economy and trade section), and for Credit Lyonnais bank (now LCL) in the merchant bank department, in Paris.
He joined the Order of Preachers in the year 2000 and graduated in theology and philosophy. He was the chief editor of ROC FM radio and a member of the board of the Federation of French Radio Stations. He was also in charge of catholic digital media production for the French TV channel France2.
